Kestrel Glass Creations |

| Glass is not just for windows and doors, I would like to show you what other things you can make with glass.
I have only been involved with glass for just over a year, I have only just touched on some of the things you can make. Most of the creations that you will see are either copper foil technique which was invented by Louis Comfort Tiffany over 100 years ago. This technique enables you to create far more intricate work than that assembled using the traditional lead came method. The other method that I have used is fused glass, this is a process by which pieces of glass are heated in a kiln to such a temperature that the glass melts and fuses together to form a new creation. This can also be tack fused which will make the design itself raised from the background for example the poppys in a frame, or can be 'slumped' into or onto a mould to produce a variety of useful everyday items like the bowls and vases.
